Transfer premises licence holder (PLH)
If you want to transfer the PLH because you have sold your business or it has changed hands, you as the new owner or existing owners must apply to have your licence transferred into your name. You will need to complete:
- a transfer of Premises Licence Holder form - this must be completed by the new (incoming) PLH
- a consent to transfer form- this must be completed by the existing (outgoing) PLH
Both these forms must be completed for the transfer to take place. The cost of this transfer is £23.00.
You will be sent an updated licence when your application has been approved. Before you transfer your premise licence you should ensure the payments for all your bills are up to date.
You can transfer the PLH licence at GOV.UK using the buttons below. The forms are editable online documents and will work best using the Internet Explorer browser. They will not work on handheld devices or mobile phones. The 'right to work' information is not needed if you are a limited company.
If you need further information or you are having difficulty in completing the application process, you can contact the Council here.
Transfer designated premises supervisor (DPS)
If there is a change of DPS you will need to complete:
- a transfer of DPS form –this must be completed by the current PLH
- a DPS consent form – this must be completed by the new (incoming) DPS
Both these forms must be completed for the transfer to take place. The cost of this transfer is £23.00.
Note: as the designated premises supervisor, the existing (outgoing) PLH completes the consent to transfer form, the other forms are completed by the new (incoming) PLH.
