How to pay your bill
You can pay your bill in the following ways:
- by direct debit
- online
- by telephone
- using your bank
- in person by card or cash at the Post Office
Pay by direct debit
You can pay by direct debit in 10 or 12 instalments on one of the following monthly payment dates: 1, 15 or 25.
You can set up your direct debit either by:
- calling the Council
- downloading a Direct Debit Mandate and sending it to the Council
Pay online
You can pay online using one of the following debit or credit cards:
- Maestro
- MasterCard
- Visa
- Visa Electron
The Council does not accept American Express or Diners cards. If you have a 'pop up blocker' set on your computer you will need to temporarily switch this off to make a payment.
Pay by telephone
You can call the Council's telephone payment service on: 0808 108 0016.
You will need to know:
- your account number
- the amount to be paid
- your debit or credit card details
Calls can be made from a landline or a mobile phone at your normal rates. The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Pay using your bank
You can use your bank to set up a:
- standing order
- bank automated credit
- telephone or internet instruction
Make sure you quote your business rates account number on all transactions.
