The Broxbourne and Google Jobs Fair was held on Thursday 17 October 2024, with approximately 300 people attending the event.
Broxbourne Council, in partnership with Google and the Waltham Cross Job Centre, provided the opportunity for residents to speak to some of the businesses that will be hiring once the data centre has been completed.
Google also hosted free Digital Training Courses by expert trainers at the event, showcasing some of the valuable training opportunities that they can offer.
Local support partners also attended, providing residents with information on skills, training, apprenticeships and advice.
Councillor Steve Wortley, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Regeneration said
The Broxbourne and Google Jobs Fair was a fantastic opportunity for residents within the Borough to speak to businesses that will provide jobs for the community. It was a pleasure to meet some of the great people of the Borough and speak to the hiring businesses. I was also delighted to see Google and all the other employers working so closely with Broxbourne Council.
