VOW Nutrition, a young company that specialises in the development of nutritional drinks and snacks, has taken its business from strength to strength from its base at Theobalds Enterprise Centre (TEC)
TEC is a business hub in the Borough of Broxbourne designed to help catapult small and medium sized enterprises to new heights with all-encompassing facilities featuring modern and sustainable architecture as well as advanced IT infrastructure.
As one of the first resident businesses to occupy the centre following its opening in late 2023, Vow Nutrition has rapidly become a force to be reckoned with, recently securing its spot as the first ever official nutrition supplier for Team GB as part of their participation in this year’s Olympics.
Vow Nutrition’s brand ambassador Matt Richards, who recently won Silver at the Olympic Swimming competition, is one of many athletes to make Vow nutritional drinks and snacks the preferred choice owing to the brand’s commitment to excellence, eco-consciousness and safety which is assured through vigorous testing for banned substances.
Initially founded in 2019 by Simon Stevens, a local resident in the Borough of Broxbourne, Vow Nutrition has already secured distribution contracts with over 2,500 UK stores, including a deal with the largest retailer in Ireland, as well as oversees contracts which includes two major supermarkets in Dubai.
Leader of Broxbourne Borough Council, Councillor Mark Mills-Bishop stated: “This is a great local business success story which we are all immensely proud of. Theobalds Enterprise Centre is one of two of its kind in the Borough, both created with the vision of helping local businesses flourish. To be able to witness the level of success resident company Vow Nutrition has had, is truly inspiring and undoubtedly reflective of excellent business support which effectively contributes to the growth of emerging businesses as well as the local economy.”
Although currently powered by a small but determined team of three, Vow Nutrition is set to continue thriving, with its business owner Simon Stevens vowing to build upon the company’s success with plans to move manufacturing to a nearby site in Broxbourne to centralise production, increase supply, hit sustainability goals, while also opening doors for other companies, bringing further opportunities into the Borough.
Founder of Vow Nutrition, Simon Stevens said: “We are immensely proud to collaborate with Team GB and are enjoying seeing our athletes success at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. We love being based at Broxbourne Enterprise Centre, with views from our office across to the White Water Centre which featured in the London 2012 Olympics, we are excited to see our company grow across the world in time for the next games in 2028”
The £10m TEC funded by Broxbourne Council and Hertfordshire LEP, was officially opened on 7 November 2023 with the primary aim of enabling innovators and entrepreneurs to realise their business growth potential, while generating high value jobs and opportunities for local people. The centre’s fully managed workspaces include a mix of offices, studios and training facilities, as well as reception service, conference rooms, breakout areas, an onsite café, EV charging points, bicycle parking, showers and changing facilities.
Only a stone’s throw away from the M25 and major developments in the Borough of Broxbourne, including Hollywood’s Sunset Studios, Google Data Centre and the Brookfield Riverside development, TEC is a perfectly placed home for ambitious businesses and entrepreneurs on a pursuit of success like that of Vow Nutrition.
