New Herts Responsible Food Award launches in Broxbourne

Owners of local Broxbourne food businesses have worked with Broxbourne Borough Council and Hertfordshire County Council to develop the new Herts Responsible Food Award which has now launched locally.

Feedback provided from businesses has helped create an award that will help improve local health and sustainability whilst also supporting and benefiting participating businesses.

This includes the High Leigh Conference Centre which became the first Broxbourne Business to receive a Gold Herts responsible Food Award

Awarded businesses will continue to serve delicious food but will have made small tweaks to ingredients and cooking methods to reduce negative health impacts.

Customers can also take comfort in knowing that their food has been prepared by a business which champions sustainability, meaning they’ve made a kinder choice for the environment.

Businesses that have been awarded a Herts Responsible Food Award will display one of three stickers in their window, depending on whether they have achieved bronze, silver or gold standard.
