The Council is delighted to announce the full refurbishment of the gym at the Laura Trott Leisure Centre
In order to deliver the ambitious refurbishment programme, the gym will be closed from Wednesday 7 July until Monday 26 July.
There will be plenty of additional classes available for members whilst the gym is closed and free access to the popular on-demand classes throughout July, so classes such as GRIT, Body Pump and BodyAttack can be streamed from mobile devices and tablets. The Laura Trott Leisure Centre will still be open for all activities including exercise classes, badminton and squash. Members and gym-goers can also access the gym, exercise classes and pool at the John Warner Sports Centre; the perfect opportunity to trial the Pulse gym equipment that will be installed at the Laura Trott Leisure Centre during the closure.
The new gym will feature all new Pulse Fitness equipment, as well as a radical visual makeover. In addition, the installation of a revolutionary new sanitising system, Clenzair, removes the need for use of any sanitising products such as disinfectants and anti-virals. Members of the public can find out more about the Clenzair system here. The new sanitising system has already been installed at the John Warner Sports Centre.
In addition, there has been an upgrade and relaunch to the Fit&Well app. The new app brings all digital services together in one place, meaning members can manage their bookings and memberships, access subscription to on-demand classes as well as track progress by connecting to popular third-party apps such as Strava, MyFitnessPal and FitBit. The app can be downloaded today from the App Store or GooglePlay.
