Youth projects

The Borough of Broxbourne delivers a number of projects for young people aged 11 to 19 throughout the year with additional activities in the school holidays. Current projects are:

Holdbrook Multi-Sports

Free football, basketball, dodgeball etc for young people aged 11-18 every Monday evening 5.30pm-7.30pm at the kickabout court on the Holdbrook Estate in Waltham Cross (by the Holdbrook Primary School)

Fit and Fed

Free sport, games, healthy eating and crafts at Hertfordshire Women’s Centre, Longcroft Drive, Waltham Cross EN8 7PA on Monday 17 – Friday 21 February 2025, 9am-11.30pm for children and young people aged 8-16 who are in receipt of free school meals or from families feeling the pinch. Booking required via community@broxbourne.gov.uk or call 01992 785555 ext. 5571 to reserve your child's place.


Half-term Cricket Camp

Free introduction to cricket sessions for children aged 6-13 taking place at the Laura Trott Leisure Centre in Cheshunt from 12.30pm-2pm on Monday 17 to Wednesday 19 February 2025. Cricket sessions provided by Broxbourne Council, being run by Cheshunt Rosdale Cricket Club. The sessions are suitable for all levels. All equipment for soft ball cricket will be provied.
