Community grants funding

Broxbourne lottery

The Broxbourne lottery was set up by the Council to help local good causes to raise funds. It is an online lottery that has:

  • a weekly draw
  • a top prize of £25,000

Tickets cost £1. Half of this will go to a local good cause that is chosen when a ticket is bought. An extra 10p from each lottery ticket goes to the Council's good causes fund.

Local community groups, clubs and charities can register for free to raise funds through the lottery. There are no fees and your organisation will receive free marketing materials, fortnightly email updates and a customisable webpage. Organisations can also view ticket and supporter data in real-time.

Your organisation will be asked to commit to using the marketing materials provided and other means of communication to achieve at least 20 ticket sales within four weeks of being provided a page on the Lottery site.

To be eligible your organisation must:

  • provide community activities or services within the Borough of Broxbourne which are of benefit to its residents
  • have a formal constitution or set of rules
  • have a bank account requiring at least two unrelated signatories
  • operate with no undue restrictions on membership

You can find more information on the eligibility criteria at www.broxbournelottery.co.uk.

To register you will need:

  • details of your organisation’s bank account
  • a logo if you have one
  • a description of what your organisation does
