Anti-social behaviour case review

The Antisocial Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014 gives victims and communities the right to request a review of their case and bring agencies together to take a joined up, problem-solving approach to find a solution.

The ASB Case Review can be used if you have complained to Broxbourne Council, Herts Police and/or your Housing Association / Registered Social Landlord on 3 or more occasions about separate incidents in the past 6 months.  Where the same incident has been reported to more than one agency this is classed as one incident. This is called the threshold. If the threshold is not met the case review will not occur.

We ask you to provide us with details of the past incidents you have reported, including the dates you previously made reports, any reference numbers you have been given, and the names of any officers or teams you've been in contact with.

You can request an antisocial behaviour case review by emailing the community safety team. Make sure you quote Antisocial behaviour case review.

Any resident within Broxbourne can request a ASB Case Review if they feel they meet the above criteria. In addition, someone can request one on behalf of their relative or friend should they have their consent to do so. Anonymous requests however will not be processed.

What happens next

Once you've contacted us quoting ‘Antisocial behaviour case review’, you'll receive an initial response within 3 working days. We will then contact you to confirm if your report has met the threshold and details of how we will conduct the review.

An antisocial behaviour case review is only for people who have reported the same antisocial behaviour to the council, police or a registered housing provider 3 times in the last 6 months and consider that no action has been taken.
