What you can do
The Cemeteries team is able to assist you with your funeral arrangements, providing advice about the process and explaining your options. You can call the team on 01992 785507 or attend one of the weekly drop in surgeries held at each cemetery on the following days and times (appointment not necessary for the drop-in surgeries):
- Hoddesdon Cemetery: Tuesday 9am-10.30am
- Cheshunt Cemetery: Thursday 9am-10.30am
Although the Council does not hold cremations, the cemeteries can provide a final resting place for the cremated remains. Ashes can be scattered, strewed, buried in an urn or casket, or placed into the columbarium. Please speak to the Cemeteries team to arrange a cremated remains interment.
